Sunday, September 20, 10:00am Gathered As One Worship and Community Connection
September 20,Called to Justice: Welcoming David Scherer — What does loving our neighbor ask of us in our daily lives? Mark your calendar for Gathered as One worship on September 20 at 10am as we welcome David Scherer as our guest preacher. Together, we will explore justice and our call as Christians to live out our faith in the world. David will also share his musical gift of hip-hop as part of our worship.
David, also known as AGAPE*, is a musician, educator, and theologian who has worked with hundreds of churches. He is a co-founder of JUSTmove, which offers grace-centered antiracism education through the arts. Learn more at https://www.justmoveculture.com/. At the heart of his work is the conviction that God’s love changes how we see ourselves and one another. As David puts it, “I want others to know that not only are they loved beyond measure, but their neighbor is too. Even the neighbor that is hard to love.”
For David, that love calls us to action: “When you love your neighbor, you hate the barriers that get in the way of their flourishing.”
David will also join us for worship on Wednesday, September 23, at 6:30pm as we continue exploring faith and our responsibility to our neighbors. We hope you will be part of both gatherings. Come with your questions, bring a friend, and consider what God might be calling us to do together.
These worship services are worship in-person, via livestream on Facebook, Vimeo, or on our website. You can also by call in and listen at 763-317-7440.

Reconciling in Christ - see more
Reconciling in Christ is a public commitment to welcome, celebrate, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ people in the full life of the church. It is a way of saying clearly what we believe about the wideness of God’s love and the dignity of every person created in God’s image.
If you are searching for a church where you can be you, where you can heal from old church wounds, or feel uncertain about reconnecting with faith: There is a place for you here. In fact, we are not complete without you.
